Tashkent hosts quadripartite meeting on acceleration of cargo transportation to Afghanistan
In order to accelerate the delivery of goods from China to Afghanistan and develop the logistics infrastructure, a quadripartite meeting was held in Tashkent with the participation of representatives of the railway administrations of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and the Chinese International Logistics Company. The meeting was organized at the initiative of Uzbekistan Railways JSC.
At the meeting, issues of modernizing the logistics infrastructure of the parties, accelerating cargo transportation from the Kashgar station in China to the Hairatan station in Afghanistan in order to develop cooperation relations, expand existing opportunities, bring promising projects and cooperation to new levels were discussed.
Guests from Afghanistan supported all decisions of the working group. The Ambassador of Afghanistan to Uzbekistan and the head of the department at the Afghan Railways thanked Uzbekistan for its comprehensive support.
Following the meeting, a four-party protocol was signed.
