Emomali Rahmon and Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrive in Samarkand

The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, arrived in Samarkand to participate in the SCO summit.

Both presidents were welcomed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other officials.

After the welcoming ceremony at the airport, the head of Tajikistan visited the memorial complex Hazrat Khizr and laid flowers on the grave of Islam Karimov.

Reportedly, Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s travel agenda also includes visiting the Hazrat Khizr complex and paying tribute to the memory of the first President of Uzbekistan.
