According to the press service of the head of Tajikistan, during the conversation, the heads of state discussed the results of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization held in Samarkand. From this point of view, Emomali Rahman gave a high assessment to the organization and content of this event of regional significance.

The President of Tajikistan expressed his gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for his warm welcome and traditional hospitality, appreciated the adoption of a large package of decisions and documents related to the activities of the organization as a result of the meeting of the heads of state.

At the same time, the President of Tajikistan informed the President of Uzbekistan about the latest developments in the situation on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border.

Reportedly, the parties discussed some urgent issues related to friendship, good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance.
