You will have to be a little lucky to connect to the appeals center of the Prosecutor General’s Office. And the call center of the Justice Ministry is regularly “out of service”. Citizens who call “hotlines” of state bodies to report their problems face problems.
Almost all ministries and central organizations now have official websites and/or “hotline” numbers. This practice has been introduced to report a problem, get help or advice on a field. However, these numbers do not work well in every ministry or organization.
Kun.uz conducted a small experiment by calling “hotline” numbers of state bodies and organizations.
First, we contacted the PGO “hotline”. It seems that a “concrete barrier” has been placed on the contact number of the appeals center of the department: the call hits this barrier and disconnects at the first call. Repeated attempts are ineffective, you can neither contact nor obtain information.
According to the PGO press service, 11 operators are able to receive calls at the call center. But the communication system technically works in such a way that if the number of calls in the queue exceeds 25, the connection with the 26th caller and those who called after him will be automatically disconnected.
During the experiment, when we repeatedly called the “hotline” of the Justice Ministry, we received the answer “the device is turned off or is out of service”. We had to wait a long time to contact an operator at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Bureau of Compulsory Execution, the Tax Committee, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the Ministry of Public Education. In the experiment, only the Ministry of Health and the Supreme Court “hotlines” were easy to contact.
As a result of our small experience, it became clear that in most cases, citizens need to have a lot of patience and nerve to call the “hotline” of state bodies and organizations. Callers will be anxious that they have trouble with telling their problem.
