More than 197 thousand marriages registered in Uzbekistan over nine months
In January-September 2022, 197,013 marriages were registered in Uzbekistan.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the figure is less by 9,750 compared to the same period last year.
Over the nine months, Samarkand registered the highest number of marriages – 22,329, followed by Fergana (20,955) and Kashkadarya (20,298) regions.
The figure for other provinces:
- Surkhandarya - 16,885
- Andijan - 16,402
- Tashkent city - 16,383
- Tashkent - 16,226
- Namangan - 14,659
- Khorezm - 11,039
- Bukhara - 10,907
- Republic of Karakalpakstan - 10,895
- Jizzakh - 8,536
- Navoi - 6,335
- Syrdarya - 5,164
