The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyiv issued an appeal after the recent rocket attacks on the city.
The official appeal has been published on the website of the embassy.
“In light of the aggravation of the situation on the fronts, as well as the high likelihood of continued rocket and artillery strikes throughout Ukraine, we ask compatriots to leave the country for their personal safety. Also, we reiterate our call on compatriots to refrain from traveling to Ukraine until the conflict is resolved,” the diplomatic mission said in a statement.
On the morning of October 10, the Russian Defense Ministry launched a massive missile attack on the cities of Ukraine. It was alleged that the targets of the attack were defense, energy and communications facilities, but civilian facilities also came under fire. Vladimir Putin called the shelling of Ukrainian cities a response to the explosion that occurred on October 8 on the Crimean Bridge.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that in just one day, the Russian military fired 84 missiles at Ukrainian cities. In addition, 24 drones attacked Ukraine during the day, 13 of them were shot down.
According to the latest data from the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations, as of the morning of October 11, 300 settlements in Kyiv, Lviv, Sumy, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky regions remain de-energized after the Russian attack. Power supply has already been restored in more than 3,500 settlements. 19 people were killed and another 105 were injured.
Earlier, Forbes calculated how much the massive missile attack on the cities of Ukraine on October 10 cost the Russian budget. According to the publication, the shelling cost $400-700 million.
