Muzaffarbek Turaboyev – world judo champion!
The final of the men’s – 100 kg weight category of the World Judo Championship in Tashkent has come to an end.
In the decisive match, Uzbek judoka Muzaffarbek Turaboyev defeated Canadian Kyle Reyes and presented the second gold medal to Uzbekistan. He used the wazari maneuver and scored the victory over his opponent.
Thus, the number of gold medals of Uzbekistan at the World Championship has reached two. Yesterday, Davlat Bobonov also presented the first gold medal for our country in the weight category up to 90 kg.
Initially, the 22-year-old athlete from Surkhandarya defeated American Smith, Georgian Varlam Lipertia, Canadian Shady Elnahas and in the semi-finals – Michael Korrel from the Netherlands.
