“I live in Moscow, but I have never been a citizen of the Russian Federation. Accordingly, I cannot be enlisted on any military registration. I have already applied to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, they told me to come in person and file a statement, and also warned that I should not go anywhere to war,” said Siroj Nabiev, Mediazona reported.
According to the publication, this is not the first time that a summons has been handed to foreigners in Russia. In early October, it was reported that in this way in St. Petersburg they tried to draft a citizen of Kazakhstan into the army. The local military registration and enlistment office admitted that, most likely, the summons came “erroneously”, but they still recommended the man to come in order to “check-in and not think about it anymore.”
In addition, the media wrote that after the “partial” mobilization announced by Vladimir Putin, hundreds of Tajiks living in various cities of Russia received a summons.
Earlier it was also reported that in Podolsk, Moscow region, a citizen of Uzbekistan was handed a summons demanding to arrive at the military registration and enlistment office.
