Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan discuss prospects for developing cooperation in field of education and training

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov held talks with the rector of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) Gulchohra Mammadova, at which they discussed the promotion of Uzbek-Azerbaijani cooperation in the field of education and training.
The parties reviewed the achievements of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the implementation of reforms in the field of higher education, including success in promoting international cooperation, and also noted the presence of significant untapped potential between the universities of the two countries.
Following the talks, the Azerbaijani side expressed interest in intensifying relations with the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the Tashkent State Transport University and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. In addition, a decision was made on joint training of personnel through the exchange of teaching and student staff, the participation of Uzbek students in winter and summer schools, AzUAC grant programs, as well as the passage of advanced training courses by Uzbek specialists.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani side proposed to organize a visit of the rectors of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan to establish close contacts between the universities of the two countries and hold an educational forum.
