Economic courts recover 3.2 trillion funds in favor of entrepreneurs
For the three quarters of 2022, 38,776 business cases related to the legal protection of small businesses and private entrepreneurship were considered, and funds in the amount of 3.2 trillion soums were collected in their favor.
According to the information service of the Supreme Court, for 9 months of 2022, economic courts at first instance considered 173,640 cases. Court decisions were made to recover 12.8 trillion soums in favor of the plaintiffs.
In the past period, most economic cases were considered and resolved by the courts of the city of Tashkent, Tashkent, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Fergana and Namangan regions.
In the reporting period, the main part of the cases considered in economic courts were cases on the suspension of operations on bank accounts, bankruptcy cases of enterprises, disputes arising from contracts for the supply of products, loans, contracts, and provision of public services.
4,842 cases were considered on appeal. 804 decisions of lower courts were canceled and 442 decisions of courts were changed.
The Judicial Collegium of the Supreme Court for Economic Cases considered 1,052 economic cases in cassation. 322 decisions of lower courts were canceled and 48 court decisions were changed.
Also, 39 economic cases were reviewed again in the cassation instance. 33 decisions canceled and 3 decisions changed.
It is noted that 3,259 cases resolved by economic courts were considered via videoconferencing, as a result of which the parties saved more than 2.3 billion soums.
