Statistics Committee names highest-paying occupations in Uzbekistan
In January-September 2022, the average monthly salary in Uzbekistan amounted to 3.72 million soums, up by 24.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-September 2022, the highest average monthly wage by type of economic activity was in banking, insurance, leasing and credit intermediary activities – 9.73 million soums.
Also in the field of information and communications, monthly wages were 6.97 million soums, and in transportation and storage – 4.85 million soums, which is significantly higher than the national average. Comparatively low levels of wages were in the fields of education and healthcare, 2.59 million soums and 2.51 million soums, respectively.
Highest salaries by industry:
- 9.73 million soums - Banking, insurance, leasing, credit and intermediary activities;
- 6.97 million soums - IT;
- 4.85 million soums - Transportation and storage;
- 4.7 million soums - Industry;
- 4.49 million soums - Construction;
- 3.66 million soums - Trade;
- 2.98 million soums - Arts, entertainment and recreation;
- 2.93 million soums - Accommodation and food services;
- 2.59 million soums - Education;
- 2.51 million soums - Health care and provision of social services.
