“I sincerely thank you for supporting the initiative to declare the city of Samarkand, a symbol of friendship and peace, a center of science and enlightenment, as the “Capital of Turkish Civilization”. We are rightfully proud that the bright pages of the great history of the Turkic world were created together by our great ancestors.
Today, all of us are going through difficult trials related to acute geopolitical conflicts, global economic crises and the negative consequences of climate change.
Therefore, in the current dangerous situation, it is extremely important for our countries to define common approaches and coordinate efforts to solve the most urgent problems. We are able to overcome difficulties through friendship, cooperation and mutual support.
I would like to acknowledge that during the presidency of Türkiye last year, a lot of work has been done in our organization in various directions, and our mutual cooperation has become more active.
During its presidency, Uzbekistan also wants to effectively implement the concept of “TURKISH WORLD POWER – 2040” and the “FIVE-YEAR STRATEGY OF THE ORGANIZATION OF TURKIC STATES” adopted today. We intend to further strengthen the authority of our Organization, bring the cooperation between our brotherly peoples and countries with a common language and culture to a higher level,” President Mirziyoyev said at the beginning of his speech.
