Uzbekistan enters TOP-3 destinations for flights from Russia in 2022
At the same time, the average receipt for a round-trip ticket fell by 11% compared to last year.

Uzbekistan has become one of the three most popular destinations for air travel from Russia, RBC reports with reference to the Tutu.ru ticketing service.
According to the site, the leaders in demand are the Central Asian countries - Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. In addition to them, the top ten included Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates and Georgia.
The average receipt for a round-trip ticket to Uzbekistan decreased by 11% over the year and amounted to 28,668 rubles ($460 at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation as of December 12).
OneTwoTrip, an online travel service, reports that the total number of foreign flights that occurred in Uzbekistan amounted to 6.7%. This made it possible to get ahead of Kazakhstan (5.8%), Azerbaijan (4.7%), Belarus (3.9%), the United Arab Emirates (3.6%) and Thailand (2.0%).
The most popular destinations are Armenia (18.4%), Turkey (14.6%), Tajikistan (11.9%), Kyrgyzstan (10.9%). The company emphasizes that the demand for flights to Tajikistan has grown four times, and to Kazakhstan - five times.
According to the Kupibilet service, Uzbekistan is in third place in sales of air tickets abroad with 8%. Only Turkey and Armenia are ahead - 23% and 15% respectively.
In the total demand of Russians for air tickets at the end of 2022, the share of international flights is 11%. This is slightly lower than Tutu.ru’s estimate (14%), however, all observers note a noticeable increase in air ticket sales to neighboring countries in 2022.
