Conflicts lead only to disastrous consequences – FM Vladimir Norov
Uzbekistan believes that conflicts and confrontations lead to disastrous consequences and situations where there are no winners, said Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov at a meeting with foreign diplomats.
On December 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a roundtable discussion on the topic "New Uzbekistan: a reliable partner in a changing and mutually shared world" in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region. At the meeting, Vladimir Norov drew attention to the issues of the development of dialogue in the "Central Asia+" format.
"The "Central Asia+" format shows our commitment to conduct a balanced and independent policy without getting involved in various disputes while serving to strengthen and maintain the regional balance," Norov said.
Also, the head of the foreign policy office of Uzbekistan spoke about the importance of pragmatic and constructive diplomacy today.
"Uzbekistan strictly adheres to the opinion that conflicts and confrontations lead only to disastrous consequences and situations in which there are no winners. Only diplomacy based on a reasonable compromise will meet the interests of all parties equally and without conflict," the minister noted.
