The supplier of the products assured that they would be replaced within 24 hours, but the situation has not changed.
Photos of spoiled food have been circulated on the Internet, which are allegedly given to pupils of the 63rd school of the Beruniy district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan as free meals.
The manager of a food company supplying food to an educational institution said that they look spoiled due to prolonged exposure to cold and temperature changes. He also assured that the products would be replaced within 24 hours.
However, two days later, complaints about substandard products resurfaced on social media.
It should be recalled that the procedure for providing free meals to students in grades 1-4 came into force this year, after the visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Karakalpakstan.
Today, December 20, during an address to the Parliament, the head of state announced that from 2023 free meals will be introduced in all schools in the country.
