Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Kazakhstan is our closest and most reliable partner
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks in Tashkent.
At the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that this meeting will give a new strong impetus to the development of Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and alliance relations.
Mirziyoyev noted that Kazakhstan is the closest and most reliable partner of Uzbekistan.
“Uzbeks and Kazakhs are not only close neighbors but brothers and sisters connected by common historical heritage, cultural and spiritual values.
This is our priceless asset, which we value the most. We have a common future, I believe in it,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The sides discussed issues of expanding relations in political, trade-economic, energy, agriculture, water management and other spheres.
It was noted that in the last six years significant progress was made in all areas of cooperation. Dialogues between the governments, ministries and departments, regions of the two countries have become regular.
The parties noted with satisfaction that the volume of mutual trade, which has reached nearly $5 billion, is increasing rapidly. Large cooperative projects are being successfully implemented.
The presidents exchanged views on the regional and international agenda, considered issues of ensuring stable development in Central Asia.
