According to Russian Deputy PM Alexander Novak, negotiations are underway to increase the volume of gas supplies to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

“We are discussing with our partners in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to increase the volume of gas supplies to their domestic market, as their consumption is increasing,” Novak said.

“If we talk about a deeper perspective, it is a matter of supplying gas to Afghanistan and Pakistan using the infrastructural capacities of Central Asia or from the territory of Iran,” Novak concluded.

On November 15, Moscow began supplying natural gas to Azerbaijan under a new contract. The delivery period is until March 2023, the volume of gas will not exceed 1 billion cubic meters. However, the terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
