More than 1.3 thousand births registered in Uzbekistan on the first day of 2023
1,312 children were born in Uzbekistan on January 1, 2023.

According to the Ministry of Health, 687 of the newborns are boys and 625 – girls.
The highest number of births was recorded in Fergana region – 172, followed by Kashkadarya (169), Namangan (137), Surkhandarya (133) and Samarkand (121) regions.
The lowest indicator was seen in Syrdarya region – 35 births.
Seven of the newborn babies were twins.
