Uzbekistan, Qatar voice readiness to help Afghanistan restore its socio-economic infrastructure
On December 7, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Ambassador of Qatar Hassan bin Hamza Hashim.
According to the MFA, during the talks, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Qatari relations in political, trade, economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
Particular attention was paid to the interaction of the parties within the framework of the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international institutions.
The sides voiced readiness to continue joint efforts to promote the peace process in Afghanistan and restore its socio-economic infrastructure.
