Uzbekistan Airways to purchase 12 new aircraft
The company signed an agreement with Airbus.
Uzbekistan Airways will purchase eight A320neo and four A321neo aircraft to further expand its route network.
“Our cooperation with Uzbekistan Airways began in 1993. It is a great honor for us that another aircraft belonging to the A320neo family has been chosen to expand the airline’s fleet. We are watching how the air transportation market is developing in the Central Asian region. Modern and efficient aircraft of the A320neo family will allow Uzbekistan Airways to benefit from this growth and take one of the leading roles in the region,” said Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Department at Airbus.
Currently, there are 17 Airbus aircraft in the fleet of Uzbekistan Airways.
