Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran 

On January 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who arrived in the country to attend a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization member states. 

During the meeting, topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Turkish relations were discussed. 

Particular attention was paid to the preparation and implementation of new investment projects with the participation of leading Turkish companies. 

An exchange of views took place on topical issues of the international and regional agenda. Issues of interaction within the framework of multilateral structures, including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and the Organization of Turkic States, were considered. 

The head of state also received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov. Issues of further development of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations were considered. Particular attention is paid to the practical implementation of agreements at the highest level. 

Issues of interaction within the framework of international and regional structures, including the Organization of Turkic States, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Economic Cooperation Organization were discussed. 

In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. 

It was emphasized that the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Iran to Uzbekistan in September last year laid a solid foundation for the further development of multifaceted cooperation between the two states. 

Particular attention was paid to promoting cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, in particular, the effective use of the ports of Chabahar and Bandar Abbas.
