The national carrier first offered Boeing aircraft to customers in early 2020. In addition, back in 2018, the company announced its intention to sell all six Il-114-100s from its fleet, and three years later, five Il-76s and a Mi-8 helicopter were added to them.
In August 2022, Uzbekistan Airways announced the involvement of SAMA in the sale of aircraft. The British company ACC Aviation was chosen as a consultant to support the transaction.
Now the airline intends to sell 16 aircraft and 2 helicopters. Sales processes for other aircraft will be announced later.
