Shavkat Mirziyoyev expresses condolences to Emomali Rahmon

On February 16, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

During the phone call, Mirziyoyev expressed deep condolences to the leader of Tajikistan in connection with the numerous casualties and serious destruction caused by avalanches in the southeast regions of the country, the presidential press service reported.

According to the latest reports, the death toll as a result of avalanches has reached 20 and more than 400 households have been evacuated.

Avalanches on February 15 hit homes as well as roads, and all international traffic has been suspended.
