According to the presidential press service, Mirziyoyev expressed his profound sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who perished in the crash. The Uzbek leader also wished a swift and full recovery to the injured victims.

The accident occurred in the Saraykoy district of Turkey’s Denizli province on May 31. The passenger bus, which was traveling from Izmir to the southern resort city of Antalya, was carrying 38 passengers and three crew members when it struck the roadside barriers and burst into flames. Emergency teams, including firefighters, paramedics, and police units, rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze and rescue survivors.

Local authorities confirmed that the driver and seven passengers lost their lives at the scene once the fire was brought under control. Among the victims was a nine–month–old baby identified as Eyup Mirach.

The 33 injured passengers were stabilized by emergency responders before being transported by ambulances to nearby hospitals across Denizli for urgent medical treatment. Turkish law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the exact cause of the crash.
