Presidents of Uzbekistan and Egypt adopt a joint statement
As part of the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Arab Republic of Egypt, a ceremony was held to sign documents following the Uzbek-Egyptian high-level talks.
According to the press service, the heads of state adopted a joint statement aimed at expanding cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural and educational fields.
In the presence of the presidents, a number of bilateral documents were also signed providing for the development of interaction between the ministries of foreign affairs, as well as the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the General Directorate of Investments of Egypt, cooperation in the field of quarantine and plant protection, organizing public health, attracting investments and strengthening bilateral investment relations, technical regulation, exchange of experience on development issues.
In addition, memorandums of understanding were signed between the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Oriental Studies of Uzbekistan named after Abu Raykhan Beruni and the National Library and Archives of Egypt.
