A 22-story hotel to be built instead of former NSS building
An agreement was signed on the construction of a 22-story Radisson hotel on Sayilgoh Street in the center of Tashkent, instead of the former building of the National Security Service (NSS). Earlier, it was said that a moratorium on the start of new constructions would be announced in the capital.

Radisson hotel group signed an agreement with “Metropol Group” LLC to open a new premium-class hotel in Tashkent, the Association of hotels of Uzbekistan reported.
The new Radisson Collection Hotel will be located in the city center on Sayilgoh Street (known as “Broadway”) on the site of the former headquarters of the National Security Service.
The hotel complex to be built here will consist of 4 buildings with a unified architectural style, the main and tallest building will have 22 floors and Radisson Collection Hotel with 27,000 square meters is expected to be located there. The premium class hotel offers its customers 164 rooms, including presidential suites.
The area of the complex includes a public space, shopping areas, a cinema, offices, apartments and a multi-storey car park.
It should be recalled that “Metropol Group” privatized the former building of the National Security Service in July, 2021, for 210 billion soums. It is indicated that 100% of the shares of this company belong to Doniyor Kamilov, the son of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov.
For information, last month President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced a temporary moratorium on new constructions in Tashkent.
