Medical detachment of Uzbekistan’s Defense Ministry returns from Turkey

Servicemen of the medical detachment of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, who participated in the elimination of the consequences of the earthquake in Turkey for 24 days, returned to Tashkent. During this time, military doctors provided the necessary assistance to a total of 3,860 citizens, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan reported.

It should be recalled that on February 8, a medical detachment of the Ministry of Defense, on behalf of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was sent to the Republic of Turkey to assist in the aftermath and provide medical assistance to victims of the earthquake.

“Uzbek military personnel provided direct assistance to the victims of catastrophic earthquakes for almost a month and provided them with support in difficult times. During this time, they provided medical assistance to a total of 3,860 citizens, of which 1,795 men, 1,177 women and 888 children,” the report reads.

Today, March 6, a meeting of the military personnel of the medical detachment was held at the Tashkent International Airport, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense and other officials, as well as representatives of the public and the media.
