Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Turkey

On March 16, the President of Uzbekistan will take part in the summit of the leaders of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkey.

As Kun.uz correspondent reports, on March 16, Ankara will host an extraordinary summit of the leaders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on the topic “Disaster and emergency management and humanitarian assistance”. The leader of Uzbekistan will take part in it.

The summit will serve as a high-level platform to discuss the state of emergency in Turkey caused by the recent earthquake in that country.

At the event, the participants will exchange views on the prospects for cooperation in the aftermath of natural disasters and emergencies and the provision of humanitarian assistance within the framework of the OTS.

Bilateral meetings are also planned at the summit.
