On February 27, male pilgrims aged 65-70 set off by bicycle from Karasuv, Andijan region, to perform the Umrah pilgrimage. In the video broadcast on MY TV channel, it is said that they reached Medina by April 10.
“At the age of 65-70, God gave us strength. We arrived in Medina safely,” one of the elderly pilgrims who sent a video message to their relatives said.
The TV channel also reported that the elderly man, who set off from Osh, Kyrgyzstan to Mecca by bicycle, reached Mecca in 22 days, and he also used a car service on the way. The name of the hero is not mentioned in the video that has been circulated on social networks.
“I left on March 27. I also got into the car on the way, because it is difficult to get here by bicycle alone.
My son works in Moscow. I gave money to buy a good bike for me. He sent,” the pilgrim said.
Taking bicycle parts and some money with him, the old man risked his way to Karakalpakstan and wanted to continue his journey through Turkmenistan. However, he was not allowed to enter this country without a visa. After that, he entered Saudi Arabia through Kazakhstan and other countries – Azerbaijan, Turkey, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates.

“On my way, when I was moving from one city to another one, I met no one on the road. I kept praying to God for help.
Also, I met good people on the way, and I reached Makkah with their help,” the pilgrim said.
The 63-year-old man, who came to Saudi Arabia for the third time, said that he intends to stay in Mecca for two months, perform the Hajj, and then return.
“When I leave, I will follow the same route. There are a lot of people who have been kind. I want to meet them on my way back. If God wills, I will perform the Hajj pilgrimage and then return,” an elderly male from Osh said.
