Responsibility for disobeying requirements of SSS Border Troops’ servicemen strengthened

The President signed the law “On the introduction of additions and amendments to the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at further strengthening the protection and protection of the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

According to the document, failure to take measures to comply with the written submissions of the State Security Service to eliminate the causes of offenses and the conditions conducive to their commission, entails a fine for officials from 2 to 5 BCAs.

For non-compliance with the following legal requirements of a serviceman of the Border Troops of the State Security Service, a fine of 1 to 12 BCAs is imposed:

• cessation of offences;
• presentation of documents for verification;
• following or appearing in the subdivisions of the Border Troops of the State Security Service (law enforcement agencies) within the specified period without good reason;
• assistance to victims;
• stopping the vehicle;
• other insubordination.

A repeated offense entails a fine of 12 to 15 BCAs or 15-day administrative arrest.

In addition, public calls for non-compliance with the lawful requirements of a serviceman of the SSS Border Troops, as well as the dissemination of deliberately false fabrications with the aim of provoking mass disobedience, entail a fine of 3 to 20 BCAs or administrative arrest up to 15 days.
