Customs Code introduced a series of amendments

During customs examination of a product, its accelerated release is permitted under certain conditions.

On February 27, Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law amending the Customs Code. The document was published on Lex.uz.

The changes and additions are intended to simplify the placement of goods under the customs regimes of export, re-export and re-import. Thus, the deadlines for the export of goods under the re-export regime from the customs territory of Uzbekistan are designated.

For air transport, they are 3 days, for river and road transport – 10 days. In the case of trains, the period is determined at the rate of 2,000 km in 30 days.

At the same time, customs duties are canceled for goods that are in the re-export regime and were not exported on time. Previously, in this case, a fee was charged on the same basis as imported goods.

In addition, upon completion of the regime for processing goods outside the customs territory, it is allowed to clear the goods or products of their processing by any customs authority (not only the one that processed the original goods). To do this, you need to provide an application and a cargo declaration for the export of goods.

It is allowed to alienate goods in a free warehouse regime, as well as to transfer to other persons the rights of ownership, use and disposal of them (similar to the customs warehouse regime). The transferor must submit a written notification, and the acquiring person must submit a cargo declaration for the goods.

It is also permitted to release goods subject to customs examination until its results are received. To do this, you must pay duties and fees in the amount calculated in the declaration and provide a guarantee of additional payment if necessary.

The law will come into force three months after its official publication – on May 28.
