Two employees of prosecutor's office detained on suspicion of bribery
One of the detainees is a senior prosecutor of the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the other is an investigator of the Uchtepa district prosecutor's office.

On May 6, the senior prosecutor of the Prosecutor General’s Office E.A. and the investigator of the Uchtepa district prosecutor's office A.D. were detained as suspects in a criminal case.
The PGO told Kun.uz that a criminal case has been initiated against them under Articles 168 (Fraud) and 28, 211 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code. An investigation is currently underway.
The Prosecutor General’s Office noted that such activities are being carried out as part of the fight against corruption in the prosecutor's office, cleaning the system of dirty employees. It was also announced that no other details of the case will be disclosed in order to prevent interference and obstruction of the investigation.
