Shavkat Mirziyoyev meets with Emomali Rahmon in China
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda.

On May 18, as part of the program of the summit of the CA countries and China, held in the city of Xi’an, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Topical issues of further development of multifaceted cooperation and deepening of the Uzbek-Tajik relations of strategic partnership and alliance were considered.
The leaders highly appreciated the fruitful results of the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, held on May 12 in Tashkent.
The importance of the practical implementation of the decisions taken to increase the volume of mutual trade and promote industrial cooperation projects, including in the energy, engineering, agricultural, transport-communications and other industries, was noted.
The heads of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan also exchanged views on topical issues on the regional agenda and considered a schedule of upcoming events.
