Reportedly, a list of problematic areas was drawn up, and the parties considered a set of appropriate measures to immediately eliminate the problematic aspects of the accumulation of cars at the border.

"Transport flows were redistributed (a large amount was directed to the reconstructed B. Konisboyev checkpoint), checkpoints were switched to an enhanced working mode, customs posts were provided with additional staff in order to speed up the control of vehicles crossing the border. The main dispatching department of the State Revenue Committee has switched to round-the-clock working mode for the release of goods," the report reads.

Also, it became known that Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan held negotiations on increasing the number of goods and transport vehicles in two directions and speeding up control operations at the border.

"The working group will check the operation of all checkpoints of both sides in the coming days. As part of the implementation of the government's orders, work on increasing the volume of goods and equipment transfer at border crossing points with Uzbekistan will be continued," the committee said.

Also, with the beginning of the seasonal period in May, the volume of export of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, including transit to Russia, will increase. At the moment, an average of 900-1000 trucks arrive at three customs posts in the Turkestan region per day.
