Uzbek businessmen ready to invest over $70 million in Kyrgyzstan
Uzbek businessmen are ready to invest over $70 million in Kyrgyzstan, the National Investment Agency reports with reference to 24.kg.
The ministry clarified that work is underway to implement joint projects with Uzbekistan.
“This is due to the construction of an enterprise for the production of basalt fiber, calcium carbide, textile and clothing production, as well as the construction of a plant for the enrichment of quartz in Kyrgyzstan,” the report reads.
Earlier, it was reported that the authorities of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will resume the work of three checkpoints.
It became known that the Uzbek side is demolishing the wall at the “Bek-Abad – Khanabad” checkpoint, which was mothballed in 2010 by Uzbekistan unilaterally.
At that time, the “Kara-Suu” and “Kara-Bagysh” checkpoints in the Osh region were also closed.
