“Pay attention to one figure: the volume of industrial production of the Asaka region is higher than the industry of 9 regions of the republic. We will invest an additional $1 billion to further develop the automotive industry. Thanks to this, in the next two years, we will increase the production of cars from the current 300,000 units to 500,000 units,” he said.
According to him, by 2030 Uzbekistan will produce 1 million cars a year.
“A large machine-building cluster with the participation of 13 enterprises is also being created in Asaka,” the candidate concluded.
It should be recalled that in April of this year, during his visit to the Syrdarya region, Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to build a new automobile plant in the region.
Later, the governor of Syrdarya region, Akmaljon Mahmudaliyev, told Kun.uz that the necessary equipment for a car factory under the Chinese brand Exeed had been brought to the region.
