President sets the task of employing up to 2 million people

It is planned to train 200 thousand of them in highly profitable professions, including IT and design.

As Spot wrote earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on August 2 on supporting entrepreneurship and expanding the tax base.

The President separately touched upon the topic of employment of the population. For example, 4,500 companies have already expressed their intention to join the recently announced program “20 thousand entrepreneurs and 500 thousand specialists”.

The project participants have developed projects worth 65 trillion soums and expect to employ 400,000 people. In 14 districts selected for the pilot phase of the program, another 725 firms are ready to participate and create jobs for 50,000 people.

Another 2 thousand companies do not fall under the formal criteria of the initiative, but intend to hire 40-50 people. By the end of the year, it was instructed to involve 10,000 enterprises in the program.

Separately, the need was emphasized to establish the provision of all services within the framework of the program in the “one-stop-shop” format – registration, project formation, assistance in developing a business plan, financial and legal advice.

In addition, the head of state set the task of providing home-based work for 500,000 people. It was instructed to create a “school for homeworkers” for free consultations to entrepreneurs and employees, training and advanced training.

It is also planned to train 200,000 people in highly profitable professions, such as design, IT, maintenance of solar panels and electric vehicles. Their lists will be compiled by mahallas.

In total, it is planned to provide employment for 2 million people and lift up to 200 thousand families out of poverty. In addition, the goal was set to transfer 55,000 individual entrepreneurs and individual entrepreneurs to the category of small business, and 5,000 small enterprises to medium-sized ones.
