Kyrgyzstan increases coal exports to Uzbekistan
In the first half of 2023, the supply volumes amounted to 821.6 thousand tons.
Kyrgyzstan increased the export of hard and brown coal to Uzbekistan by 84% in the first half of 2023, local media reports referring to the data of the National Statistics Committee.
The volume of deliveries for 6 months reached 821.6 thousand tons.
In monetary terms, exports increased by 91% to $26.4 million.
The average cost of one ton of hard coal was $31, brown coal - $33.
Uzbekistan is the main importer of Kyrgyz coal, with an 84% share in the country’s coal exports.
