Electricity supply interrupted at Tashkent airport last night (video)
Uzbekistan Airports commented on the case and said that this was not the reason for the delay of the flights.
Yesterday, August 27, at 22:09 local time, there was a power outage at the Tashkent International Airport due to an accident that occurred at the Kuylik city substation. Uzbekistan Airports commented on the situation.
It is noted that in a few seconds, the power of the objects providing flights from backup sources: runways, air traffic control systems, radio navigation equipment was restored. Due to this, flights at the capital's airport were not delayed.
Also, domestic flights and departure terminals were immediately transferred to backup sources. Within 15 minutes, at 22:24, power was restored in the departure hall of the international flight terminal.
At 22:40, the accident that occurred at the city substation "Kuylik" was eliminated, and the electricity supply was fully restored at the capital's airport.
