President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has started a meeting of videoconference meeting on the eve of the new academic year to discuss the issues of school education and determine the priority tasks.

In recent years, based on the noble idea that "New Uzbekistan begins at the school's doorstep", great work has been done in this field.

Hundreds of modern schools have been established in the past short period. Presidential schools, schools of creativity, which were not in our experience before, have entered our lives, the network of specialized schools has been expanded. New textbooks and study guides have been created.

"Most importantly, a new spirit, content and atmosphere has appeared in our schools.

We created the opportunity to work freely for respected teachers and coaches, who are the architects and engineers of children's hearts.

Paying attention to a teacher means paying attention to our children and their education. If the reputation of the teacher increases, the reputation of the school increases, the value of science and education increases.

Therefore, we are paying special attention to improving the conditions for teachers and students, increasing the quality of education," the head of state said at the beginning of the meeting.

It was reported at the meeting that in the past period, the monthly salary of teachers increased by 2.5 times (on average 3 million soums per month).

A special payment was introduced for teachers who have national and international certificates in foreign language, IT, mathematics, chemistry, biology, and teachers who work in remote areas.

As a result, the number of teachers receiving salaries from 6 million to 10 million soums has reached 23 thousand, and the number of teachers receiving a monthly salary of more than 10 million soums has exceeded 1 thousand.

About 2,000 teachers are being paid additional allowances from the minister's fund.

In order to reduce the workload of schools, 700,000 student seats were created. This is 15 times more than in previous years.

"The number of teachers with their own teaching style, "school of skills" and reputation is also increasing year by year. We highly appreciate their work. In recent years, we have quadrupled the scope of higher education and are creating additional opportunities for our youth.

It is also the demand of the times that many of our young people prefer to take up a profession that matches their interests and abilities. Therefore, if we teach our children at least two foreign languages, computer and profession, if they have skills in their hands, they will have their place in life," the head of state said.
