More than 600,000 births registered in Uzbekistan over eight months
The population of Uzbekistan increased by more than 600 thousand in January-August 2023.
According to the Statistics Agency, 627,196 live births were registered in Uzbekistan over the past eight months of the year.
This is 37,696 (6.4%) more compared to the same period last year.
The Statistics Agency added that 325,323 of the newborns are boys and 301,873 are girls.
