More than 153 thousand marriages registered in Uzbekistan over eight months 

According to the Statistics Agency, 78,579 of the marriages were recorded in urban areas and 75,182 – in rural areas.

Earlier it was reported that the population of Uzbekistan increased by 627,196 over the past eight months of the year. This is 37,696 (6.4%) more compared to the same period last year.

325,323 of the newborns are boys and 301,873 are girls.
