Customs officers detain a truck driver transporting 20 kg of heroin in Tashkent region
It was identified that the drug was placed in secret compartments in the truck trunk.
Employees of the Tashkent regional customs department, in cooperation with the Border Guards of the Republic of Uzbekistan, inspected the Mercedes-Benz truck, which was driven by citizen S.S. (who was leaving the republic through the “Yallama” border customs post). It was found out that there were suspicious objects in the bottom of its trunk.

After that, the truck was subjected to an in-depth customs inspection, and when the bottom part of the truck was opened, there were 36 packages wrapped with tape in the secret compartments, the Customs Information Service reports.
According to preliminary information, it turned out that the packages contained about 20 kg of heroin.
Currently, the investigation is being carried out in connection with this situation.
