SSS officers detain two civil servants for accepting a bribe (video)

While receiving a bribe, State Security Service officers detained an employee of the tax inspectorate of the Yangiyul district of Tashkent region and a representative of the state labor inspectorate of Karakalpakstan, UzA reports.

It is reported that the senior inspector of the Yangiyul district Tax Inspectorate of Tashkent region, in collusion with the head of the State Tax Inspectorate, demanded $5,000 from the entrepreneur for repayment of tax debts identified in his activities.

A senior tax inspector was caught red-handed while receiving $4,500.

In another case, SSS officers detained an employee of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Allegedly, the detainee was receiving $10,000 in bribe. For this amount, the civil servant promised to issue a conclusion that the 2 citizens who died in the fire worked at a private enterprise legally under a contract.

Based on the above facts, a pre-investigation check is being carried out.
