Presidents of Uzbekistan and Vietnam discuss expanding bilateral cooperation
The parties discussed possibilities of cooperation in the energy sector, mechanical and electrical engineering, chemical industry, textile, footwear, furniture, food security and other areas.
As part of his working visit to China, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met and held talks with the President of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the possibilities of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of trade and economics.
Vietnam is an important partner of Uzbekistan in the Asia-Pacific region, and contacts between the two countries have become more active in recent years. The volume of mutual trade is growing, projects in agriculture and fish farming are developing.
The parties considered opportunities for cooperation in the energy sector, mechanical and electrical engineering, chemical industry, textile, footwear, furniture, food security and other areas. The leaders of the two countries also emphasized the importance of developing exchanges in the fields of culture, education and tourism.
