Civil aviation activities to be restored in Sariosiyo

Civil aviation activities will be restored at the Sariosiyo airport in Surkhandarya region. This was announced on November 17 at the meeting chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the socio-economic development of the region.

At the meeting, it was noted that the tourism potential of the region is very high, there are more than 600 cultural heritage and tourism objects. The tourism ring “Naqshbandiya pirlari” will be opened along the Samarkand-Kitob-Denau-Oltinsoy-Termiz route.

There are only 53 hotels with 2.5 thousand beds in the region, half of them are located in the city of Termiz. Since it is planned to increase the flow of tourists to the region by 3 times in the next year, it was decided to give subsidies to Surkhandarya businessmen to build a hotel, regardless of the “star”.

By the end of the year, it was ordered to restore civil aviation activities at the Sariosiyo airport, to start regular flights from Sariosiyo to Samarkand and Tashkent next year, and to increase the number of flights from Termez to Istanbul, Fergana, Bukhara and Khorezm.

Also, a tourist carriage will be launched on the Termiz-Tashkent route, and a train will be launched en route Sariosiyo-Tashkent.
