Afruza Khamdamova becomes world chess champion
Afruza Khamdamova, ahead of schedule, has become the world champion in the age group under 14 years old at the World Youth Chess Championship in Italy.

The Italian city of Montesilvano is hosting the World Youth Chess Championship U14, U16, and U18, in which chess players from 92 countries are participating.
A representative from Uzbekistan, Afruza Khamdamova, became the best in the age category under 14 years old.
In her last match, Afruza Khamdamova (2,199) defeated Anna Shukhman (2,263) and ahead of schedule became the first champion among girls in the history of Uzbekistan.
