During the meeting, Mirziyoyeva conveyed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s greetings and best wishes.
The two countries have warm and trusting relations, which have continued to strengthen in recent years, according to the statement.


“We discussed further cooperation and new joint initiatives. Our countries share many common interests and have good opportunities for new projects,” the statement reads.
Earlier, Uzbekistan opened the “Uzbekistan: Heritage in Motion” exhibition at Qatar’s Museum of Islamic Art. The exhibition showcases artefacts from Uzbek museums and Qatari collections, as well as traditional crafts and textile art.
The “Ektashif Uzbekistan” exhibition also opened in Qatar, featuring works by seven Qatari artisans inspired by their visits to Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.
