Senate of Oliy Majlis to convene for next plenary session on December 18

At the next meeting of the Council of the Senate of Oliy Majlis, under the leadership of Tanzila Narbayeva, a resolution was adopted to convene the forty-eighth plenary meeting of the Senate on December 18, the press service of the parliamentary upper house reported.

At the meeting, which will be held using a videoconferencing system, a number of issues are planned to be discussed.

Among them are the laws “On the State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2024”, “On amendments and additions to the Law “On the State Budget for 2023””, “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts in connection with the adoption of the main directions of tax and budget policy for 2024”.

Senators will also consider the laws “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts in connection with the adoption of the Law “On the provision of legal assistance at the expense of the state”, “On amendments and additions to the Law “On State Duty”, aimed at creating more favorable conditions for citizens when appealing to administrative courts”.

Besides, the laws “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts in connection with the adoption of the Law “On Insolvency””, “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts in connection with improving the system of providing public services and protecting the rights and legitimate interests of business entities” and “On introducing amendments to some legislative acts aimed at improving conditions for expanding Internet and communications coverage on the territory of the republic” will be discussed.

Senators will also consider questions about the implementation of tasks defined in the “roadmaps” for the socio-economic development of the territories of Namangan and Fergana regions, information on the activities carried out by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change to protect atmospheric air and plant green areas in the prevention of climate change, as well as approval of resolutions of the Council of the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
