Price of train tickets to rise again in Uzbekistan
From January 20, the prices of local train tickets are increasing again in Uzbekistan. In particular, the price of tickets for “Afrosiyob” electric trains and “Sharq”, “Nasaf” and “Uzbekistan” high-speed trains will increase by 20%.

It is noted that the ticket prices of “Afrosiyob” electric trains and “Sharq”, “Nasaf” and “Uzbekistan” high-speed trains are increasing by 20%.
In particular, the prices of “Afrosiyob” electric train tickets are set as follows:
Tashkent – Bukhara – Tashkent (prices are for one way only)
• VIP – 636 thousand soums (now – 530 thousand soums);
• business – 462 thousand soums (385 thousand);
• economy – 336 thousand soums (280 thousand).
Tashkent – Karshi – Tashkent
• VIP – 534 thousand soums (455 thousand);
• business – 390 thousand soums (325 thousand);
• economy – 282 thousand soums (235 thousand).
Tashkent – Samarkand – Tashkent
• VIP – 396 thousand soums (330 thousand);
• business – 276 thousand soums (230 thousand);
• economy – 204 thousand soums (170 thousand).
The company stated that this decision was made in accordance with the decision of the interdepartmental tariff commission under the Cabinet of Ministers, in order to cover the costs of railway infrastructure reform, electricity – fuel, logistics and transport.
It is also being implemented in order to update the fleet of passenger cars, purchase new high-speed electric trains, and maintain railway stations in accordance with the requirements of the time.
It should be recalled that the ticket prices of local trains were increased 2 months ago. In particular, the tariff part of passenger trains was increased by 44%, and “Afrosiyob” electric trains – by 60%.
